This is Nigerian smoked salted clay known and called nzu in Igbo land in west Africa Nigeria. It is usually prepared by the elderly women. Clay is typically mined, sieved off big stones sometimes, salted, molded and locally baked using a local oven. This type of edible chalk has a very high earthy flavor that is very irresistible by the eaters. Mere perceiving the flavor can make the eaters go crazy with uncontrolled massive salivation! This type contains little sand/granite. Although we have represented only the cubes in our images, you will be receiving the pack that contains the dust and cubes mixed together. This is because it is very difficult to import and ship this clay without encountering major breakages that results to the dust clay. We sell by weight, this means that you are not gonna receive the quantity depicted on Tittle image, that quantity is over 200 gm (7.oz).
