This is a Bacon Belmont 5 string Banjo with synthetic Mother of Pearl that was made before World War 2.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description
This banjo is absolutely gorgeous and is a really nice example of this model.  This has a synthetic mother of pearl shell and resonator wall along with the face of the headstock.  This looks like nickel hardware and there is white binding on each side of the neck.  The fretboard is rosewood with dot position markers.  This has 22 lugs and the flange is nickel and one piece.
This is a cool banjo with a nice sound.  This is not a particularly loud banjo but it does sound good.  It also looks incredible, this banjo is a conversation piece because it is so shiny!!  It is amazing that this is nearly 100 years old and can be purchased for under 00.  This also includes a hardshell case.
Condition
This banjo basically looks new.  We professionally cleaned this at the Banjo Warehouse and this is absolutely gorgeous.  We disassembled the banjo and buffed all of the metal with a high powered buffer and waxed the wood.  This is glowing.  The fretboard is clean with overall clean frets.  The resonator is heavily checked but the finish itself looks almost untouched with no blemishes.  The first few frets show a bit of wear which is normal but the rest of the frets look untouched.  This banjo really is in exceptional condition which makes it even more amazing that this is almost 100 years old.
Set Up
This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse as well.  The banjo has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is set with correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely.  This also is adjustable.  This banjo is a gorgeous Pre War Banjo that has been cleaned and set up professionally.  Super Cool.
